Our ratings are based on a scale from 1 (We avoid) to 5 (Great) How we rate

Beauty Success is owned by Groupe NOVI.

Our “Planet” rating evaluates brands based on the environmental policies in their supply chains, from carbon emissions to wastewater, ingredients' impacts, product circularity, and more. Here we rate Beauty Success “Not Good Enough”. These are a few factors influencing its score:

  • It uses some lower-impact ingredients including organic ingredients, but it does not publish an aggregate breakdown of ingredients used.
  • It uses some recycled packaging.
  • It has no policy to evaluate the biodegradability and environmental toxicity of its ingredients.
  • It could be using palm oil, but it has not disclosed any information regarding responsible sourcing that mitigates environmental impacts.
  • There’s no evidence it’s taking actions to protect biodiversity in its supply chain.

Workers’ rights are central to our “People” rating, which assesses brands’ policies and practices on everything from child labour to living wages and gender equality. Here we rate Beauty Success “Very Poor”. These are a few factors influencing its score:

  • Most of its final production stage happens in France, a medium country for labour abuse.
  • There’s no evidence it has a Code of Conduct.
  • There's no evidence it audits its suppliers.
  • There’s no evidence it ensures workers are paid living wages in its supply chain.

Note that the "People" rating in Good On You’s methodology is defined by labour rights and does not consider consumer health.

Brands’ animal welfare policies and, where applicable, how well they trace their animal-derived products, are the focus of our “Animals” rating. Here we rate Beauty Success “Very Poor”.

  • It doesn’t clearly state what animal-derived materials it uses.
  • It does not have a certification, policy, or statement against the use of animal testing in its supply chains.

Based on all the publicly available information we’ve reviewed, we rate Beauty Success “We Avoid” overall.
