Our “Planet” rating evaluates brands based on the environmental policies in their supply chains, from carbon emissions to wastewater, ingredients' impacts, product circularity, and more. Here we rate Kadalys “It's a Start”. These are a few factors influencing its score:

• It uses some lower-impact ingredients including upcycled and certified organic ingredients, however it does not publish an aggregate breakdown of ingredients used.
• It manufactures its products closer to home to reduce the climate impact of long-distance shipping.
• It uses some recycled packaging
• It could be using palm oil, but it has not disclosed any information regarding responsible sourcing that mitigates environmental impacts.

Workers’ rights are central to our “People” rating, which assesses brands’ policies and practices on everything from child labour to living wages and gender equality. Here we rate Kadalys “It's a Start”. These are a few factors influencing its score:

• Its final production stage happens in France.
• It traces some of its supply chain.
• There’s no evidence it has a Code of Conduct.
• There’s no evidence it ensures workers are paid living wages in its supply chain.
