Nature Baby’s environmental rating is ‘good’. Most of its clothing is made from cotton certified under the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and organic merino wool. It also encourages consumers to wash clothing in an eco-friendly manner by washing in cold water and using environmentally-friendly cleaning agents.

Its labour rating is ‘good’. As well as using GOTS certified organic cotton and merino wool, its workers in India are paid above India’s average wage with equality between male and female workers, and factories do not permit child labour. Nature Baby’s owners visit India each year to oversee production, and monitor the production process of its organic merino range to ensure that high social criteria are being met.

Its animal welfare rating is ‘it’s a start’. It does not use fur or angora, however it uses leather without specifying sources as well as organic wool.
