Promisedland’s environmental rating is ‘good’. All of its products use silk, which has a low to medium environmental impact. It also sources its materials locally, and uses minimal and recycled packaging.

Its labour rating is ‘good’. Its clothes are made at Fair Fashion in Vietnam, which is a garment workshop set up by an anti-trafficking alliance to support women who have been rescued from trafficking. Promisedland states that the women are treated fairly, are paid well so they can support their families, are given 22 days of paid leave each year and have the opportunity to start their own businesses.

Its animal welfare rating is ‘great’. It does not use any animal products apart from silk which is not taken into consideration in our current rating tool.
