Our “Planet” rating evaluates brands based on the environmental policies in their supply chains, from carbon emissions to wastewater, ingredients' impacts, product circularity, and more. Here we rate Shiina organic “Great”. These are a few factors influencing its score:

• It uses a medium proportion of lower-impact materials including certified organic.
• Its use of lower-impact materials minimises chemicals, water, and wastewater in production.
• Its products are made in limited production runs.
• It was created with the principal purpose to address the environmental impacts of cosmetics production and consumption.
• A high proportion of its palm oil is certified by RSPO and COSMOS Organic, however it does not publish an aggregate breakdown of palm oil used.
