Our ratings are based on a scale from 1 (We avoid) to 5 (Great) How we rate

KOLON SPORT is owned by Kolon Group and Anta Sports.

Our “Planet” rating evaluates brands based on the environmental policies in their supply chains, from carbon emissions and wastewater to business models and product circularity. Here we rate KOLON SPORT “It's a Start”. These are a few factors influencing its score:

  • It uses few lower-impact materials, and it does not publish an aggregate breakdown of materials used.
  • In some of its shoe production, it uses water-based glues, which can be safer for workers and the environment.
  • The brand prioritises recyclable textiles by minimising its use of fibre blends.
  • It's set an intensity reduction target to decrease the average water used in each of its products.

Workers’ rights are central to our “People” rating, which assess brands’ policies and practices on everything from child labour to living wages and gender equality. Here we rate KOLON SPORT “Not Good Enough”. These are a few factors influencing its score:

  • Some of its second stage is located in low risk countries or certified facilities, however it does not publish an aggregate breakdown of suppliers.
  • There’s no evidence it supports diversity and inclusion in its supply chain.
  • To reduce the risk of modern slavery, it prohibits its suppliers from charging workers recruitment fees.
  • To help tackle the gender pay gap, it ensures equal pay for equal work in its supply chain.
  • There’s no evidence it ensures workers are paid living wages in its supply chain.
  • It has not taken sufficient steps to remediate its links to cotton sourced from Xinjiang, a region in China at risk of Uyghur forced labour.

Brands’ animal welfare policies and, where applicable, how well they trace their animal-derived products are the focus of our “Animals” rating. Here we rate KOLON SPORT “Not Good Enough”. These are a few factors influencing its score:

  • It appears to use leather, wool, and down.
  • Some of its animal-derived materials consist of recycled or certified alternatives to conventional down.
  • It doesn’t appear to use shearling, cashmere, alpaca, or mohair.
  • There’s no evidence it has an animal welfare policy.

Based on all publicly available information we’ve reviewed, we rate KOLON SPORT “Not Good Enough” overall.
